I found this company through online reviews and very pleased with the work they performed ! I had part of the chimney rebuilt , inner steel liner installed and point entire chimney. They were prompt, professional and excellent work ! They cleaned up afterward where you would never know there were any construction work done prior ! Nick was great , he remembered all tasks we discussed during our consultations and completed them all. Highly recommended them .Kathleen S.- Yelp
Unfortunately not thrilled with work that was done. We had them redo our stoop with the understanding all sides would be bricked like original, it wasn't. Sides were stuccoed. Plus gaps between bricks on steps where water would seep and in winter when frozen would cause cracks. The stone was marked up and they destroyed grass by cutting stone on it. Would not recommend at all.

A must hire. I have yet to see this level of commitment to achieve customer satisfaction and dedication to one's craft. I deliberately took over a year to write this because I wanted to make sure my issue was resolved. I had a leak around my chimney that was difficult to remedy and water was coming into my attic. Generally speaking, my chimney and flashing were in good condition according to several experts, and many couldn't understand why I was having leaks. A wide range of options were presented by different vendors as well as pricing. Ageless recommended repointing the chimney, so I agreed and the price was reasonable. After they finished the job, and after a hard rain, I saw that I was still having leaks. I called Ageless, and they came back to remedy the issue. About a month later, I was still having issues. I called Ageless again, and they came back a third time.Long story short, this project started in late 2017. These guys came back at least 5 times (no additional cost) over the course of 9 months and threw the kitchen sink at this (why a sink at a chimney? I don't know). They were fixing things that were out of original scope and around the chimney under pretense that water was traveling and entering my attic from unobservable areas. This additional work was at no additional cost as well and I approved all work. They even repointed the job a second time- no cost. All I know is that I met the entire team over the course of 9 months. All three gentlemen are cordial and knowledgable and committed to solving your problem. Not once was frustration directed at me. Unless they have zero overhead costs, I'd be surprised if they broke even on this job. I'm writing this because you want to see guys like this be successful. Hire them.Paul P.- Yelp
We called Ageless Chimney because we were not happy with the company we had used previously. They were terrific -- turned up on time, showed us pictures/videos of the work that needed doing (and more pictures after they had done it), and offered good prices. Christian and Bob came back to do the work that we needed on a Saturday, and they were extremely professional and efficient, did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves.

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have them look at my chimney Between 8-10. (I have to leave for work at 10:30.)
Charlie calls at 9:50 telling me he'll be there in 45 minutes. They are not reliable. They cannot be counted on to keep their word and it is probably reflected in their work. I would not consider hiring them. They treat people like garbage.Vanessa P.- Yelp
Called Ageless Chimney to get a free estimate on our damaged and old chimney. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with our chimney issues. The guys showed up and really took care of business. We had the upper portion of our chimney rebuilt and it looks amazing. Very clean job. We also had the metal chimney liner put in and now we don't have to worry about the old terra cotta lining. Bobby and the guys at Ageless Chimney are professional, knowledgeable, clean and on point. Highly recommend.

Never again will I look elsewhere for a good chimney service! Sherwood Adams was at my location of residence within 15 minutes of me calling them! He assessed the leak I had in my chimney and had it repaired fast! This is the sort of real all American chimney repair company we've all been waiting for on Long island!Doug D.- Yelp
Bob and his staff were amazing. They came on time did all the work mentioned and were so clean you would not even know they were there. All the workers were very good and perfectionists. They explained everything they were doing. They fixed our chimney and front stoop. Their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Bobby and Sherwood came to our house in Massapequa after my wife and I had been dealing with a leaking chimney for weeks. After providing us with a reasonable estimate they performed the work the following day and our chimney has not had a leak since through several storms. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.Gary R.- Yelp
What a horrible experience. They came to work on my chimney and the ladder falls on my S550 Mercedes Benz causing body damage and totally messing up my railings for the stoop and breaking my solar lights for the steps as well. They did not even mention the damage to my car I had to find out by watching the Vivint video. I called Charlie and he did arrange to have my car fixed and he paid for the damages. I had to pay for the lights to replace the ones that were broken and was never reimbursed. My steps are still loose from the ladder falling on them. I spoke with Bob the owner to let him know the railings for the steps were very loose and needed repair after waiting 6 weeks for Charlie to fix things. Charlie finally came and put the lights on that I had to buy on my own and I was not reimbursed. However the railings remain very loose and the advice I was given by Charlie was, "Just replace the rails. We could give you a good price. " My rails were perfectly fine before Ageless Chimney damaged them when the ladder fell. This caused damage to my rails, solar lights for the rails, solar lights for the garden, and my car. Bob the owner said he would come by to make it right but never did. My rail remains very loose, and I was never reimbursed for the lights. What a major inconvenience Ageless Chimney caused me. I will say the work done on the Chimney was good. I wish they were more professional as they came highly recommended. They acted like they were doing me a favor or I was inconveniencing them when I wanted things fixed. The nicest person was the receptionist on the phone. I will now have to pay to get my rails redone unfortunately due to their error of not securing their ladder. Unreal.

I had called Ageless Chimney because we had a leak into our attic from the chimney. We were unsure if the roof or chimney flashing was the problem. They set me up with an appointment for a one hour window and confirmed the day before. The guys got here on time. Charlie was professional and gave us a reasonable estimate and told us what the problem was. He was able to fix it right then and there! It stopped our leak! Thanks guys!

Very professional. I thought our chimney was clogged, and called hoping they could come out the same day. They were at my house a few hours later, and had called to give an updated ETA which was great because I work nearby and was able to run home to meet them. The guy that came out (Sherwood) was friendly, explained everything to me, worked quickly and overall did an excellent job. I hope I don't have more chimney issues anytime soon, but if I do I'll be calling Ageless again.Daniel L.- Yelp
I had another chimney company come over to inspect my chimney on my new home. I felt like the guy was jerking me around and he was a kind of shady. I researched some other companies and got a recommendation from my cousin to use Ageless. I dealt with Sherwood who was excellent and a true professional. He gave me an honest quote and showed me the work he was going to do and even got me up on the roof to point out somethings. Himself and partner did great work and I'm very happy with my choice. I highly recommend using Ageless Chimney.
- Laura G.- Yelp
RIPOFF ALERT!!!!They quoted me one price over the phone, then, after the job was done, they added quite an extra charges. When I questioned the extra charge, the gentleman just kept on repeating the extra charge verbally..... and also, charged me $200 for " point work" which took all of 5 minutes....... and he acted like he was doing me a big favor by charging $200..... steer clear of Ageless Chimney unless you enjoy being RIPPED OFF
- Louise S.- Yelp
Ageless Chimney was one of three estimates sought, and I'm glad that I chose them. Although it hasn't rained yet, I trust that the leak from failed flashing (no thanks to the previous roofers) is fixed, and the chimney on this 100+ year old home was completely re-pointed for the first time ever. From the professional office staff, to Keith the estimator, to Sherwood and Kevin who performed the work, thank you for giving me peace of mind from a job well done!
- Alesya N.- Yelp
Had the pleasure of meeting Bob this week to fix our chimney which had no cap or liner on it for years apparently (found dead birds inside gross). He beat out a previous estimate and did an amazing job! Came at straight 9am, explained everything and was done by 11. Super nice, professional, and clean. Would recommend to anyone!

Gas and wood-burning fireplaces are one of the most beloved features among Kings County, NY homeowners. They add instant character and provide wonderful warmth, which is certainly welcoming on blustery winter days.
Yes, if you’re Gerritsen Beach home has a fireplace, there’s no doubt you enjoy it; however, no matter how well you maintain the structure, soot and ash are bound to escape the firebox and leave behind residue on the bricks that surround the hearth and façade of your fireplace. When it does, it can minimize the aesthetic appeal of this prized feature of your home, and even worse, it can cause some pretty significant damage to your property.
Why Cleaning Your Fireplace Bricks is Important
Soot is a byproduct of combustion or rather incomplete combustion. It occurs when organic carbon-based materials, such as wood and coal, aren’t burned completely. It’s comprised of tiny black particles and it accumulates on any surfaces that surround a fireplace. Soot is acidic in nature; it also contains metals, dust, and oils. Bricks are made out of clay, and while they are heat resistant, they are highly porous. Given the elements that soot contains, the material can wreak havoc on brick. Not only is the accumulation of dark spots and stains unsightly, but over time, it can damage the brick and disturb the structural integrity of your fireplace.
Cleaning the soot that accumulates on the bricks that surround your fireplace is important because it not only enhances its visual appearance, but it also preserves the structural integrity of your fireplace; it assures your safety, too!
Reasons to Hire a Professional to Clean Your Fireplace Bricks
When you start seeing black stains and marks on your fireplace bricks, it’s time to give them a good cleaning. While you can certainly do the job yourself, fireplace brick cleaning is actually better left to a professional. Before you gather up cleaning supplies and pull up your sleeves, here’s a look at some of the top reasons why you should consider hiring a fireplace cleaning service to handle the task removing the soot from your fireplace bricks.
While it might seem like all you need is some sudsy water, a course scrubbing brush, and some elbow grease, in reality, cleaning soot off of bricks is a lot harder than it appears. Depending on the nature of your bricks and the soot that has accumulated on them, ridding the material of the substance can seem virtually impossible. In fact, many Gerritsen Beach, NY homeowners that we’ve spoken to who attempt the task on their own have said that no matter how hard they tried, they still couldn’t completely remove the soot that had accumulated on their fireplaces.
A reputable fireplace cleaning service will have the right tools and will know the proper techniques to successfully rid your fireplace bricks of unsightly and potentially dangerous soot. At Ageless Chimney, our team of experts has received extensive training on the most proven and cutting edge techniques and uses the safest and most effective tools to ensure the job is done the right way. When our team is on the job, you can rest assured that your fireplace bricks will be fully cleaned and look as good as they did the day they were installed.
There are a lot of products on the market that are intended to clean fireplace bricks. While some products may be effective, the truth is, they often contain a mixture of harsh chemicals. Depending on the chemicals the cleaning product you’re using contains, being exposed to them has the potential to cause adverse side effects, especially if they make contact with your skin or eyes or if you inhale the fumes that they emit.
In addition to the potential harm that exposure to cleaning supplies can pose, there’s also a chance that you could damage your fireplace. If you use products that are too harsh, for example, there’s a real possibility that you could mar the bricks, weaken them, and damage the structural integrity of your fireplace surround. Operating a damaged fireplace can lead to serious consequences, including smoke and carbon monoxide poisoning, as well as an increased risk of a house fire.
Putting yourself in harm’s way is never worth the risk. Instead, have a professional company that specializes in fireplace brick cleaning do the job for you so that you can avoid the possible dangers that damaged brickwork and exposure to toxic cleaning supplies can pose.
If you’re like many Gerritsen Beach homeowners, you might think that cleaning your fireplace bricks on your own will save you a bundle. In reality, however, fireplace chimney cleaning costs can actually be a lot less than the cost of DIY. When you factor in the expense of cleaning supplies, the potential damage you could cause to your fireplace, and the possible injuries you could sustain, paying to have a professional do the job for you can save you a bundle in the long run.
