What a free chimney estimate covers

Free means free, and the number comes before the work

The estimate costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We look at the chimney, the flue and the fireplace, and we show you what we found with photos or video rather than asking you to take our word for it. Where a sweep is part of the job, that includes a Level 1 inspection with parts of a Level 2.

Then you get the price, up front, before any work starts. Repairs are split into what is a safety problem and what is cosmetic, so you can decide what to do now and what can wait. Nobody is pushed into a decision on the spot. Estimates are free and we will not be undersold, so we will beat any written estimate.

Rather talk it through first? Call 516-613-5450. The office is open Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and true 24-hour emergency service covers the rest.

When we can come out, and how to be ready

  • When we can come. Non-emergency work is normally scheduled within a few days to a week of the call, and that window stretches once heating season starts; by the first properly cold week we are usually a week or two out. An emergency is same day, and the criteria plus the after-hours route are on the contact page.
  • How to be ready. The fireplace needs to be cool, which is usually about 12 hours after the last fire.
  • About the advertised specials. The prices listed on the site carry conditions, most of them single-family homes in Nassau and Suffolk County, and the chimney cleaning special applies to oil and gas flues. Discount coupons have to be presented at the time of the estimate and cannot be combined with other offers. The current list is in the pricing section of the home page.

We cover Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens, working out of 22 St Paul St in Bethpage.
